computer systems Our systems are built with a focus on the user (you). Our standard systems have front USB and audio ports for easy access, multimedia keyboard and optical mouse for ease of operation, DVD burner for maximum storage flexibility and LCD monitor for increased comfort and reduced desktop footprint. We recommend at least a 19" LCD monitor for most situations. We use tower cases but desktop cases are available should you prefer. Our standard system includes either Windows Vista Home Basic or XP Home operating systems but other versions are available should you prefer. We don't bundle cheap extra software you may never use. However, we do ensure that all systems have all needed software loaded, configured and updated so you're ready to go including: Adobe Reader, Flash Player, Shockwave Player, updated versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Media Player, security software such as Windows Defender and free AVG antivirus and Zone Alarm personal firewall for eligible users or trial version of Zone Alarm Internet Security, Nero Burning ROM and dvd codec, Microsoft Update, Open Office or trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 We will configure your internet and email to your existing ISP on delivery. If you have a specific software need we can quote you for this with the system. component systems We have standard component built systems for all needs. You can swap out components to suit your needs and budget or we can build the full system to your individual specifications. Altech Computers is one of our suppliers for components. Please feel free to browse their site. Prices are RRP and don't include delivery and configuration. We have other suppliers also so the list is by no means exhaustive. brand name systems If you prefer brand name systems we can supply many models from the range of Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, Acer and Lenovo. notebooks We can supply brand name notebooks with a wide range of options. components & spares We can supply and install a full range of computer components and spares for repairs and upgrades. electrical surge protection To protect your valuable equipment from damage caused by power spikes and surges, please invest in a quality electrical surge protection device. It's wise to protect your equipment from spikes transmitted along both electrical and telephone wires and as such a surge protector that provides both levels of protection is recommended. We recommend and supply Belkin surge protection products. These products are well regarded and lifetime guaranteed. Some models come with a guarantee for the products connected also. uninterruptible power supply For business users and some home users a combination surge protector and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) may be required. The UPS will provide you with immediate power backup in the case of black and brown outs. They are designed to give you enough time to save and close your work without losing critical data. We are able to discuss your individual needs and can supply a wide range of electrical surge and UPS devices. service & warranty Unless otherwise specified all systems and components are supplied with a 12 month return to base warranty. Most LCD monitors carry a 3 year return to base warranty. Dead pixel claims are limited by the manufacturer's dead pixel policy. If you have a hardware warranty issue please contact us. We provide local and accessible service and will organise the warranty repair or replacement with the manufacturer.
